When:  Monday evenings at 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM.  Parents are welcome to stay too.  We look forward to seeing you there.   Note:  We do not meet on the Monday following a weekend camping trip.   Meetings which are a Court of Honor (award ceremony) begin at 6:00.   We do not meet during the summer.  Our last meeting is typically in early June with final preparations for Summer Camp.  We resume troop meetings in early to mid August.

 

Where:  Maranatha Baptist Church, 187 Old Huntsville Road, Fayetteville, Tennessee 37334  [MAP]

Directions:  From Fayetteville…  Go South on 431/231 (toward Huntsville) about 5 miles to Park City.  The second traffic light you will see in Park City is Highland Rim Road.  It is just past the Shell gas station.  Turn right (West) onto Highland Rim Road.  Go a couple of miles west on Highland Rim Road, just beyond Highland Rim School, to the stop sign at Old Huntsville Road.  Our meeting place, Maranatha Baptist Church, is directly in front of you.  We meet upstairs in the 2nd building, toward the rear.

      Dues & Fees:  Troop 461 does not collect any annual or monthly dues or fees.
 

Our annual fundraiser at the Lincoln county fair, has in the past provided the funds to operate our program for the entire year, including the Boxwell Summer Camp fee. The troop also pays for the scout’s food on our camping trips.  Participation by all scouts and parents in the fall fairground fundraiser is very important.

      Basic Necessities:   Our troop does not require uniform pants, socks, belt, cap, or neckerchief.  Additionally, the unit numerals, shoulder loops, merit badges, and rank advancement badges are provided by the troop.  Do not worry about obtaining any of those items.  New Scouts will want to pick up a few items, however...

      Equipment:  Our troop is very active in weekend camping trips.  You will want to put the following core items on your radar:
 

	Tent - smaller backpackable type
	Backpack         The troop does have a loaner backpack, if not already spoken for.  Just ask.
	Sleeping bag
	Mess Kit
