101 ways you can volunteer to help the troop

"We never fail when we try to do our duty, we always fail when we neglect to do it."
Sir Robert Baden-Powell

There are hundreds of little tasks that need to be done in order to manage a Boy Scout Troop. If they are all left for the Scoutmaster to tend to, he will have no time left to run a scout program, much less a successful program. That is why we seek help from parents every year.

Have a look at the list below of possible ways you can help. We’ve tried to present as many simple 5-30 minute tasks as we can. Training is normally provided for you.

We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.  Moms are welcome to join in the fun too.

Here are some ideas you will find, but feel free to volunteer in any way you might choose:

1.     The simple 5 – 30 minute jobs.

2.     Jobs that can be done from home.

3.     Jobs that will require a little more effort.

4.     Get serious and join Scouting.

5.     Troop Committee positions.

6.     Direct Leadership positions.
